A fireplace has long been an integral aspect of a household, serving as the most vital and central feature of the home. Previously, a fireplace was typically situated in the centre of the hall, with smoke rising to a smoke hole through the room. Later, similar hearths were moved to the side of a room and equipped with a chimney. A hearth is an important component of fireplace architecture, typically consisting of brickwork at the floor level or above and a firebox.

KEY DRIVERS:

  • Increasing home automation

  • Growing demand for sockless hearth

Increased home automation, combined with rising demand for smoke-free hearths, is expected to provide huge growth prospects for the hearth market. Furthermore, the growing demand for portable hearths, as well as manufacturers' increased focus on reaching untapped markets across developing areas by promoting their brand, are projected to drive hearth market expansion over the forecast timeframe.

RESTRAIN:

  • High Installation Cost

  • High maintenance cost

OPPORTUNITY:

  • Growing need for hearth items

  • Increasing Population

The growing use of fireplaces in the hospitality, commercial, institutional, and residential sectors is expected to present considerable growth opportunities. An increasing number of recreational establishments, such as bars, restaurants, cafés, and hotels, are widely installing outdoor and indoor hearths to enhance consumer experience and make the location artistically appealing, which is likely to boost hearth market growth.

CHALLENGES:

  • Lack of manufacturer advertising initiatives to promote product portfolio

  • Environmental rules are strictly enforced by the government.

IMPACT OF RUSSIAN UKRAINE WAR:

Wars cause significant economic damage in the long run. While it is too soon to determine the long-term consequences of Russia's invasion of Ukraine beginning in early 2022, it is apparent that both Ukraine and the majority of other European countries have already been severely impacted. Firms in the sample nations of the CEP study have an average dependence on Russia of 0.25%. This indicates that, on average, a company with a $1 billion output exports and buys $2.5 million from Russia. While half of the companies in the sample have a dependent on Russia of less than 0.06%, the enterprises with the highest dependence on Russia have a dependence of 0.54%. In proportion, the most reliant firms trade with Russia.

The most dependent enterprises deal with Russia about ten times as much as the bottom half in terms of output. There is also significant geographic diversity. Europe has the largest dependence on Russia, with an average dependence of 0.80%. Firms manufacturing refined petroleum products such as gasoline are the most reliant in Europe, with an average dependence of 14.04%. So, for every $100 of output produced, they trade $14.04 with Russia.Top of Form
