This has led to a slowdown in the growth of the WebRTC market. The war has disrupted the supply chains of WebRTC components, such as semiconductors and software. This has led to increased costs for businesses that use WebRTC.  In April 2022, Cisco announced that it would be suspending all sales and support of its products and services in Russia. This includes its WebRTC products, such as Webex. Cisco also said that it would be donating USD 1 million to humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine. IMPACT OF ONGOING RECESSION

The ongoing recession is likely to have a significant impact on WebRTC companies. Here are some of the ways it could affect them The decrease in sales revenue will likely lead to a reduction in profit for WebRTC companies. This is because fixed costs, such as salaries and rent, will still need to be paid, even if sales are down. As businesses look for ways to save money, they may turn to lower-cost alternatives to WebRTC solutions. This could lead to increased competition for WebRTC companies. In order to reduce costs, WebRTC companies may have to lay off employees. This could lead to a loss of talent and expertise, which could make it difficult for the companies to recover from the recession. In February 2023, TokBox laid off 25% of its workforce, citing the impact of the recession. In March 2023, Twilio announced that it would be slowing its hiring and reducing its expenses. some qualitative changes that have occurred during the ongoing recession in WebRTC companies A greater emphasis on customer acquisition and retention. A more collaborative approach to innovation. WebRTC companies that are able to adapt to these changes and position themselves for long-term success will be the ones that emerge from the recession stronger than ever.
